McDonogh School (MD) is the LaxPower High School Girls’ Lacrosse National Champion for 2014.

LaxPower, the world’s leading authority on lacrosse team performance ratings, is pleased to announce the National Coaches/Computer Ratings for high school girls’ lacrosse for the recently completed 2014 season.

McDonogh School, Owings Mills (Md.), is LaxPower’s national champion for 2014. The Eagles have repeated as champions for the 5th consecutive time with a 21-0 season and winning their 6th consecutive IAAM-A title. Chris Robinson’s team finished in first place in the coaches’ poll and the computer ratings. This is the 10th season in a row that they have finished in the Top 10.

McDonogh has run its unbeaten streak to 112 consecutive games, surpassing the previous 103 straight victories held by Loch Raven and Mt. Hebron. The top five programs in the country for 2014:

#1: McDonogh School, Owings Mills, Maryland (21-0) — IAAM-A title (6th straight)
#2: St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School, Alexandria, Va. (27-2) – Top 5 eight times in the past 10 years
#3: Moorestown, Moorestown, New Jersey (26-0) — New Jersey state champion (21st time)
#4: Marriotts Ridge, Marriottsville, Maryland (17-2) — Maryland 3A-2A champion
#5: Bishop Ireton, Alexandria, VA (20-4) — WCAC champion, VISAA Division I champion

The final rankings were compiled using LaxPower’s CCR rating formula, which combines the national computer rankings with a national poll. The computer ratings used for the rankings are based on 21,911 game scores for 2,968 high school teams. The poll is a product of rankings by 20 high school coaches from around the country. Each of these parameters represents 50% of the final tallied results.

Results for the Top 25 overall and on each of the components are presented below.
