Registration remains open for the C2C Spotlight Top Prospect Camps in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 18-19.
Now in their third year, the C2C Spotlight Top Prospect Camps provide unique opportunities for high school student-athletes to learn from and be seen by top college coaches. Spotlight will be staffed by 30 college coaches from some of the finest academic institutions and lacrosse programs in the country.

C2C founder and event director John Marano said the event was created three years ago to provide an opportunity for players from Texas to get seen by college coaches without having to travel to the East Coast.
“Our kids do six trips a year for a combined 1,500 hours so we asked, ‘How can we do it where we can get them pretty good exposure and bring coaches here?'” he said. “That’s how it started.”
Marano said each boys’ division will have 68 players (four teams) so that all players can get plenty of time on the field. Currently, the 2018 boys’ division is filled, but there are some openings in the other boys’ and girls’ divisions.
“We wanted to keep it small and get our kids a ton of exposure,” Marano said. “We are purposely keeping the teams really small. We will have four attackmen, six middies, five defensemen and two goalies per boys’ team. We wanted the kids on the field in front of coaches.”
Marano said there will be a good showing of C2C players and others from Texas, but also noted that many are coming from Western states and Southern states where C2C has more teams.
“What made this year special for me was when Scott Hochstadt said he’d bring in 50 kids from the West Coast Starz, so we’ll have players from California, Nevada and oregon,” Marano said. “We also have 50 of our boys from Virginia and North Carolina where we have C2C teams and our friends at No Excuse Tennessee are being five to 10 players.
“This is no longer a Texas-only event. It’s developing into a Southwest event.”
