GARNET VALLEY, Pa. – Team DC/MD/VA defeated top-seeded Team Philly, 27-24, today to win the inaugural I95 Cup face-off championships at Maplezone Sports Institute.
Team Philly entered the finals with a 4-0 mark (103 wins) after whipping New Jersey, 35-19, in the semis. Second-seeded DC/MD/VA, which fell to Philly, 32-24, in round robin play, defeated New York to reach the title game.
DC/MD/VA was the second seed with 84 wins while third-seeded New York had 81 wins.
The event was hosted by Maplezone as well as Philly Faceoff and The Faceoff Academy.
