What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose F&M? “I chose Franklin and Marshall College because of the school’s academic rigor, competitive athletic programs, as well as the vast alumni network.
“From early on, I decided that I wanted to play at the division three level. I came to this conclusion because it meant that I could pursue any major of my choice and participate in the vast extracurriculars that college has to offer while continuing to play the sport I love.
“For multiple seasons, the Franklin and Marshall women’s lacrosse team has remained ranked nationally within the top ten, while competing in the very competitive Centennial Conference.
“After participating in numerous camps and clinics, I observed the unique chemistry among the team, and from then on I knew that it was a talented and dependable group that I wanted to one day become a part of. Apart from my own experiences with the team, I also was able to develop an understanding of the college-athlete experience through my parents’ participation in varsity athletics while attending Franklin and Marshall. I am incredibly honored and excited to follow in their foots steps.”
HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “After our close loss in the state championship game, we completed the season losing five talented senior leaders. Despite having only a total of five upperclassmen, our young team has preformed well in scrimmages and in our first few games with strong wins over local rivals and other teams in our conference. As April progresses, we will eventually face our last year’s state champions, but as long as we continue to play intelligently and as a team, I feel as though we will achieve our goal of reaching the state championship again this season.”
Thank You: “I’d like to thank not only my parents who have supported me throughout the entire process, but also my Cardinal coaches who have helped me accomplish my goal of committing to my top college choice. Likewise, I’d like to thank my incredible teammates from Highland for their encouragement. Additionally, I like to thank our coach, Kristen, who has helped me to develop my stick skills and confidence on the field, as well as because she has taught me how to be a true team player and leader.”
