The Preseason C2C Lacrosse North America Boys’ Rankings for 2017 (last year’s records in parenthesis)

1. McDonogh School (MD) 18-1
The defending MIAA champion Eagles will seek to win arguably the nation’s top league crown again.

2. Darien (CT) 23-0
The Blue Wave has won two straight Large school championships and three three straight overall. Darien enters the season with a 31-game win streak.

3. Hill Academy (ONT, Canada) 11-0
The Pride was last year’s No. 1 team and has not lost since dropping an overtime decision to Gonzaga on March 18, 2015.

4. Culver Military Academy (IN) 17-3
The Eagles won the the Inter-Ac Challenge last year and returns a brilliant junior class.

5. Calvert Hall (MD) 14-5
The Cardinals have the firepower to challenge for an MIAA title.

6. Gonzaga (DC) 19-2
The Purple Eagles have won seven straight DC WAC titles and again will be one of the top DC squads.

7. Boys’ Latin (MD) 14-4
The Lakers fell to McDonogh in the MIAA title game and will be a major challenger in 2017.

8. IMG National (FL) 12-1
The Ascenders are again loaded with talent.

9. St. Anthony’s (NY) 14-2
The Friars won their first CHSAA title in four seasons by routing Chaminade 18-5 – it probably won’t be as easy this year.

10. Deerfield (MA) 15-1
The defending New England West 1 champion Green Wave is a favorite to repeat.

11. Bullis School (MD) 21-2
The Bulldogs lost a strong senior class from a squad that won its first DC IAC Championship, but they will challenge again for the crown.

12. Delbarton (NJ) 22-2
The Big Green rolled to the Tournament of Champions title last year and is a favorite this season.

13. Victor (N.Y.) 22-0
The Blue Devils have won 44 straight games and two consecutive state titles, but must replace a standout senior class with mostly a solid junior-laden nucleus.

14. Cold Spring Harbor (NY) 18-1
The Seahawks won the last two Class C titles.

15. Brunswick School (CT) 15-3
The Bruins will challenge for a New England West 1 crown.

16. Malvern Prep (PA) 18-5;
The Friars are the favorite in the Inter-Ac League.

17. New Canaan (CT) 19-4
The Rams have won two straight Connecticut mid-sized state championships.

18. Ward Melville (NY) 18-4
The Patriots reached the Class A finals last year where they gave undefeated Victor a battle.

19. Chaminade (NY) 11-7
The Flyers struggled at times in 2016, but seek to regain their CHSAA title from St. Anthony’s.

20. St. Ignatius Prep (CA) 16-4;
The Wildcats – who took McDonogh to four overtimes last year – again will come East for some games against top foes such as Gonzaga, Landon, Chaminade and Garden City.

C2C is a national provider of premier showcases, camps, clinics and club teams for both boys and girls. C2C has club teams in Texas, Georgia and Virginia as well as a National team and provides elite instruction and player development. C2C also runs a series of Spotlight recruiting and showcase events in the Southwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.
