Major lacrosse honors: Top scorer Sophomore year (40 goals), 2013 Nominee and Participant US Lacrosse Richmond Chapter All-Star Game (3 goals, 2 assists), 2013 Metro Richmond 2nd Team All-District and All-Academic, 2013 Champions Cup showcase tournament, and 2012 and 2013 Capitol Cup showcase tournament
Academic honors, service projects: National Beta Club, Honor Roll, various community service activities with my lacrosse team, and volunteering for the Special Olympics.
What will you major in/study? Undecided- Photography, Sports, and Marketing
Why did you choose Christopher Newport? “The campus is beautiful and it’s not too far from home. When I did my official overnight and visit, everyone was so nice and welcoming. The coaches are really nice as well.”
What is your team’s outlook for next season? “We are going to have a very young team with a bunch of talent. Last year wasn’t our best season, so I am really hoping that this year we can spark a change and the players are dedicated to the sport and want to win as much as the upperclassmen do.”
Thank You: “I’d definitely want to thank my parents for helping me through the recruiting and college process, I had no idea what I was doing at first so they were a huge help. I’d also like to thank all of my Storm travel lacrosse coaches for helping me in the off season and allowing me to participate in showcase tournaments and making the ability to play lacrosse in college possible. My High School coaches also deserve a big thanks for developing my lacrosse skills year by year. Also, thank you to the rest of my family and friends who have constantly supported me though everything.”
