Major lacrosse honors: Varsity starter since 9th grade, All Team LIS, All-State, Washington DC Underclass Under Armour team, Mid-Atlantic National Tournament both 2012 and 2013, Maryland and Stanford camp All-Star teams
Academic honors, community service: Dean’s List, honor roll and high honor roll. Service: Started Invisible Children Club at school and currently involved in Model UN, Amnesty International and Habitat for Humanity which includes numerous community service efforts.
Other sports honors: Member of cross country state champions; broke school and state records. Also play basketball, tennis, swimming, and polo.
Intended major: Biochemistry
Why did you choose Denver? “I chose Denver because of the overall fit and everything it has to offer. DU has innumerable opportunities available for its students. Denver is a fantastic school, the lacrosse program is incredible as well as coach Liza (Kelly) and Matt (Lawicki), and the campus is amazing. I’m a huge outdoorsy person so Denver has a lot to offer me in terms of skiing, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, etc. It couldn’t be a more perfect place!”
HS team’s outlook for 2014: “I am super pumped for this upcoming spring season because I think we can take it a long way! A lot of young players are stepping up as well as our strong base of experienced older players. The plan is to take it all the way to the state championship! I’m very excited to see what the season will bring.
Thank You: “I’d love to thank my parents, obviously, for lugging me around the country for all the different lacrosse events, but especially my brother who is my main motivator and inspiration! he plays lacrosse at Delaware. But most importantly, my coach, Mary Blake, for believing in me and shaping me up to be the player I am today!”
