Many elite boys’ and girls’ high school lacrosse teams will compete in the 8th Annual Brine King of the Spring Face-Off Classic, scheduled for March 9-13 in the Triangle area of North Carolina.

One key game is March 11 when defending Georgia state champion Lambert faces MIAA power Calvert Hall at Cardinal Gibbons HS at 10 a.m. Perhaps the biggest game is slated for March 13 when McDonogh School, the defending MIAA champion and No. 1 team in the C2C North America Boys’ Preseason Rankings, meets Texas power Highland Park at Duke at 10 a.m.

More than 100 players attended the the final Duke’s Virginia Winter Clinic on Sunday in Virginia Beach.

This session was held in the Virginia Beach Sports Complex. Duke’s Virginia Director Steve Mason was excited at the turnout and the success of the program and the opportunity to bring Duke’s into the Hotbed Area of the Eastern Shore as Duke’s Virginia continues to expand covering ALL of Southern Virginia, Eastern Tennessee, Eastern West Virginia and Northern North Carolina.

All campers will eat in the popular D2 in Dietrick Hall, which offers a wide variety of nutritious meals in an “all-you-can-eat” dining experience.

EXTENDED DAY CAMPERS
On the first day of camp, all extended day campers should arrive between 1:30-2:00pm dressed to play. On all other days, the arrival time is 8:45am. Departure on other days is 9:00pm. Drop off and pick up locations will be given out at registration.

Monday:
• Commuter Campers stay until 9:00pm.
• Dinner is provided.

Tuesday:
• Commuter Camper Hours – 9:00am-9:00pm.
• Lunch and dinner provided.

Wednesday:
• Commuter Camper Hours – 9:00-12:00am.

3. Highland Park (TX) 6-1: The Fighting Scots toppled Keller Tuesday.

4. The Woodlands (TX) 14-0: The Highlanders defeated California’s La Costa Canyon 14-10.

5. Weddington (NC) 7-0: The Warriors are undefeated and boast recent big wins over Myers Park 14-1 and Northwest Guilford 11-9.

6. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.) 5-1: The Crusaders added a big win over previous No. 5 St. Anne’s-Belfield (VA).

7. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (VA) 2-1: The Saints notched commanding wins over Charlotte Christian (NC) and Charlotte Country Day (NC).

8. St Anne’s-Belfield (VA) 4-1: The Saints fell to Cardinal Gibbons 14-13. They face a strong Paul VI team on Friday.
